Hello and Happy New Year Soldiers! How are you?
It is update news of Medal of Honor: World War I - MOHAA MOD.
A flamethrower is a mechanical device designed to project a long controllable stream of fire.
Some flamethrowers project a stream of ignited flammable liquid; some project a long gas flame.
Most military flamethrowers use liquids, but commercial flamethrowers tend to use high-pressure propane and natural gas, which is considered safer.
They are used by the military and by people needing controlled burning capacity, such as in agriculture (e.g. sugar cane plantations) or other such land management tasks.
They can be designed to either be carried by the operator or mounted in a vehicle.
Using fire in a World War I battle predated actual flamethrower use, with a petrol spray being ignited by an incendiary bomb in the Argonne-Meuse sector in October 1914.
It was not until 1911 that the German army accepted their first real flamethrowing device, creating a specialist regiment of twelve companies equipped with Flammenwerferapparaten.
Despite this, the weapon went unused in World War I until February 26, 1915, when it was briefly used against the French outside Verdun.
On July 30, 1915, it was first used in a concerted action, against British trenches at Hooge, where the lines were just 4.5m (5 yards) apart - even there however, the casualties were mainly from soldiers being flushed into the open and shot by normal weapons rather than from the fire itself
The weapon had other drawbacks: it was cumbersome and difficult to operate and could only be safely fired from a trench, so limiting its safe use to areas where the opposing army trenches were less than the maximum range of 18m (20 yards) apart - which was not a common situation and made their use ineffective (in addition to the fuel lasting for only 2 minutes).
Nevertheless, the German army continued deploying flamethrowers during the war in more than 300 battles, usually in teams of 6 flamethrowers.

Ok this is obviously an official announcement from the developers of the WW1 mod.. But then who posted the other saying the mod is in final version. I assumed it was the developers even though the source box was empty. Now, is the mod still in development or is it done.. ?

So wut gun does this replace or is it still undecided?
The reason im asking this is because most flamethrower mods replace the heavy weapons suchas the bazooka or panzershrek, this conflicts with scripted moments in single player, either making the entire mission inplayable or crashing the entire game. I think it would be cool if this could be a new stand alone weapon, its possible and it would be better to make it that way so if any more weapon models were created they could still be put in game, either replacing the original stock weapons or making them just a new gun in your inventory.
Thats just my opinion, but it would be pretty nice.

It replaces the shotgun, but you couldnt tell in any way unless you open the pk3, The botmapper told me maps where going to be done in november, but since it being the 13th of januari i dont exactly expect them in my inbox tomorrow, though it would be nice. Ive recently moved to holland, so the weeks before, and after the moving ( which the after is still counting ) wherent and are not a great time for modding, Since my 25 thousand copy's of mohaa are still on the way in the container from the netherlands antilles to the netherlands, i must buy it another time, then i will get the last things working, and make it look good. then ill release.
if the botmaps will ever come we'll just make an update or anything. maybe we'll win a price for the longest time taking to upload a mod.
Maybe late, but as said, happy new year.
Coming to you soon, really this time !

ya me too, cant wait. should be really good according to all the vids of it and stuff. east is probably doing the finishing touches. either that or waiting for prox. but itl come out when it comes out, i mean the great war took about a couple of months, when a mod takes more than a couple of months you know it will be good.

It is amazing that, once again, following first November, then Christmas, then finally a mid January forecast, that now we are looking at at least a February forecast.
I've played the mod, in a _much_ earlier form. Even that was pretty good! I'm sure whatever East's got is fantastic, he just needs to release it. He even says above that it was a matter of uploading it, as he is willing to post without full bot coverage.
But alas, it has been two weeks since then, and so either he has been unable to get his old computer stuff from the island or he has gone back to negotiating bot scripting with his bot men.

I lost it also because I cleared MOH for space without really needing to do so . All my maps were lost as well. Its a bad habit from owning a 20gig for years. I've done that about 7 times throughout the years I've owned MOH, mainly because of the 20gig computer that I owned from 2002-2007. East is the only one with the mod files or the map files I made except for maybe the botter (Prox is it? Sounds familiar)
